Looks like American Eastlake style
Beautiful workmanship; the top alone is
composed of 11 pieces of wood, it almost
looks as if it was built by a wheel-wright

Traditionally, bowls are lathe-turned of
 Paulownia wood, with ultra-thin walls being
the mark of a skilled craftsman
Urushi Lacquer (a polymer discovered
in Asia over 2,000 years ago) is applied,
and metal flakes/dust are integrated
into wet urushi
